Explanation of how the customer can book the ticket

Information for the conclusion of the contract according to § 9 E-Commerce Law (ECG)

Valid from 01.07.2020

Dear user,

we are pleased that you use our Postbus Shuttle App to book rides. You will find the information according to § 9 ECG in the following explanations:

To ensure that these provisions remain legible and clear, we always use the term "user" for both genders. Whenever we refer to "Postbus Shuttle" or "us", we always mean Österreichische Postbus Aktiengesellschaft, which operates the Postbus Shuttle business area (the micro public transport service offered by Postbus). The term software is used for the Postbus Shuttle app for Android and iOS.

Unless otherwise agreed for individual products, the purchase process will be concluded and processed in German and your booking will also be made in German. Furthermore, we would like to point out that the Postbus Shuttle App is available in German and English. The German version is legally binding. If the operating system of the user's smartphone is in German, the app will automatically be installed in German, for all other languages the app will be installed in English.

The Postbus Shuttle App is available for Android and iOS in the corresponding App Stores for free download. After the app has been installed and started for the first time, you must register. For this purpose, the welcome screen will appear after starting the app. If you have already created an account, you can enter your access data by clicking the "Login" button in the following screen. The access data are your email address and your password. If you have not yet registered, please click on the button "Create account".

After clicking on "Create account" you enter the necessary information:

  • User or first name
  • Last name (optional)
  • E-mail address
  • Password

After that, please accept the terms of use for the app by ticking the appropriate box. By clicking on the topics Terms of Use, Data Protection, ECG Information, Barrier-free Travel, Terms and Conditions and Imprint, you will be connected to the corresponding Postbus website, where the relevant legal texts will be displayed.

Then click on "Next" to enter your telephone number. The phone number is needed to send you an activation code. To do this, click on Send SMS. Please enter the received code in the corresponding field and click on "Confirm". The Postbus Shuttle App is now available for bookings.

How do you book a trip?

In step 1, you select your desired starting point and destination. To do this, click on "Search trip" on the start screen. In the following window you can enter the start and destination in the text field either using the keyboard or by moving the map and the markers A and B shown on the map. You must confirm the start and destination each time. After confirming the start and destination, both are visible on the map. By clicking on "Next" you will be taken to the trip details window.

In step 2, you can choose whether you want to book a return trip as well as an outward trip. You also have the option of entering either the departure time at the start or the arrival time at the destination, as well as the date and the number of passengers. Depending on the region in which the Postbus Shuttle is travelling, there are additional selection options for special fares. After clicking on "Find journey", a request will be made to see if a connection is offered by the Postbus Shuttle. If there is a connection, you will be shown the available trip.

In step 3 you see a summary of the selected trip. Click on the suggested trip to see trip details including departure and arrival time and the duration of the trip. The fare is displayed in the book button. You have the option of displaying information regarding data protection as well as the General Terms and Conditions of Österreichische Postbus Aktiengesellschaft and its partners by clicking on the corresponding link. If you would like to book the trip, click on "Book for X€".

In step 4 you have to select the payment method. For this purpose, after clicking on the "Book" button of step 3, the window with the possible payment methods appears, such as cash payment and payment by credit card. By selecting the desired payment method you complete the booking process and receive the information that your trip has been booked.

Credit card payment option: In the course of credit card payment (currently the following providers are supported: VISA, Mastercard) you will be automatically redirected to the payment page of our payment provider. In this payment screen, the credit card number, expiration date, cardholder and the corresponding CVV code are required. If you omit mandatory fields or fill them in incorrectly, the incorrect fields will be clearly marked. By clicking on "Cancel" in the upper left corner you can stop the complete booking and payment process. After you have entered all required data correctly, you can start the actual payment process by clicking on "Submit".

If you have made a booking, you will receive an input tax certificate after the journey to the e-mail address given during registration in the Postbus Shuttle App, if you paid by credit card in the Postbus Shuttle App.

In the menu "My trips" you have the option of calling up your "Next trips", your "Previous trips" and your "Canceled trips". By clicking on the desired tab, you will see the corresponding trips. You can now click on a desired trip to access the trip details. In the "Next Journeys" section you will also see the current departure times, if they have changed. You also have the option of calling up the map view. Here you can see the current departure time and the current position of the Postbus Shuttle vehicle, provided your journey takes place within the next 20 minutes. If you have enabled your location for the Postbus Shuttle App, it will be shown on the map and will help you find your way around, for example to the boarding stop.

You will find our AGB in the info area.

The prices are generally stated including VAT.
