Last summer, the Postbus Shuttle, the on-demand service from ÖBB Postbus, was tested in two municipalities in one of Austria's most beautiful vacation destinations. With the expansion to year-round operation in four municipalities in the region, Postbus is taking an important step towards comprehensive mobility in Southern Carinthia.

The opening of the Koralm Railway between Klagenfurt and Graz will open up new, attractive travel options in the future - and the Postbus Shuttle will play a central role in the mobility mix of the region around Lake Klopeiner See.
The Postbus Shuttle offers not only residents of the region an attractive alternative to private cars, but also tourists a simple and affordable way to get around - for the price of a public transport ticket. Over 1,500 passengers and more than 800 journeys during the four-month pilot phase impressively demonstrate that innovative and demand-oriented mobility solutions also work in rural and suburban areas.
