Castle Festenburg was built around 1200, at that point named "Vöstenburg". One speciality of the church - the former knights' hall - is the so-called "Festenburger Frauenhimmel" (women?s heaven of Festenburg) as the painter of the monastery in Vorau, Johann Cyriak Hackhofer, painted only women into the heaven on the ceiling. From Hartberg take line 314 (from Graz lines 300, 301, 310) as far as Bruck a.d. Lafnitz Postamt (post office) or directly to Castle Festenburg.

The Augustinian Canons Monastery in Vorau - embedded in the lovely scenery of Joglland - was founded in 1163. The world famous library of the monastery comprises valuable medieval scripts. The baroque monastery church as well as the vestry decorated with rich frescos are also worth seeing. From Hartberg take lines 314, 323, 324 (from Graz lines 300, 301, 310) to Vorau Monastery or Vorau.

Daily: First Austrian sculpture park in Unterpremstätten
The terrain of the International Garden Show 2000 near the Schwarzl leisure centre has been hosting the First Austrian Sculpture Park since June 2003 - which refers to known international leading projects. You can see 40 contemporary sculptures in two scerenies still remaining from the garden show: mountain garden and pheasant garden. From Graz take line 630 as far as Thalerhof Schwarzl Freizeitzentrum (leisure centre).
